This Privacy Policy explains how Ascendant AI LLC ('Ascendant AI,' 'we,' 'our,' or 'us') collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit ascndx.ai, request information, engage our engineering or AI services, use our software platforms, or otherwise interact with us.

13Embedded Maps

Every page of this website ends with a contact area that shows a map of our office. As you scroll near it, your browser requests map images directly from openstreetmap.org, which is operated by the OpenStreetMap Foundation. Those requests carry your IP address and are handled under their privacy policy, not ours. We set no cookie for the map, and we neither receive nor store anything from those requests. Until you scroll near the foot of a page, no map image is requested at all.

14The Assistant on This Site

Every page of this website offers a chat panel that answers questions about this company. It is given this site's published pages and company material we have approved for it, and is instructed to answer only from that and to say so when it cannot. What you type is sent to Anthropic PBC (anthropic.com), which operates the model that writes the answer, and is handled under their privacy policy as well as this one. We do not store your conversation. It is held in your browser while the page is open and is gone when you close or reload it, we write nothing about it to your device, though anything you copy out of the panel yourself goes to your clipboard, and our server keeps only a count of your recent messages, held against your IP address for up to an hour, so that one visitor cannot flood the service. Your message does reach our hosting provider, Vercel Inc., because the code that answers you runs there. What Vercel records about it is a request log, kept for up to a day: the path, the method, the status, your IP address, the page you came from, your browser and operating system and their versions, the region that served you, and any line our own code writes. It has no field for the request body, so it does not hold what you typed, and we keep your message out of the lines we write. Vercel's own privacy policy governs what it holds. Separately, and for longer, it counts page views for us, which is the website analytics described above. The panel is not a private channel. Please do not send export-controlled or otherwise restricted detail through it, and do not send it through the enquiry form either: as our Terms of Use say, controlled material needs a written agreement with us on how it will be handled first.
